The phone listens
for damage humans can’t see.
Speaker plays an ultrasonic sweep; microphone reads the return. Water-damaged seals, swelling battery, or hairline frame fracture bend the waveform.
Drops. Heat. Repairs. Water.
The device remembers.
Our models read the evidence.
— and the phone signed every word.
Six things every refurbished phone should be able to do for itself — before you trust the price tag.
Every second-hand phone is a sealed record of its past life — drops, heat, charge cycles, repairs, water. That damage is real and physical, and most of it is invisible to a camera and a word like “Excellent.”
RETRONICS turns the device into its own laboratory. Its speaker becomes an ultrasonic probe, its battery a calibrated load, its camera a sensor. Then our AI-based models read the signals the hardware can’t hide — and write them into a Digital Device Certificate.
So we built the layer that reads what the eye cannot: device AI, sensor forensics, battery intelligence, repair-signature detection, and digital-twin visualisation — fused into one buyer-facing proof system. Instead of judging a phone by appearance alone, we let the device test itself, measure itself, and explain itself through a Digital Device Certificate.
The phone
becomes the lab.
Signals,
not guesswork.
Buyer-facing proof,
not seller claims.

Each card below is a model that reads one truth the chassis can’t hide — acoustic, electrochemical, photonic, haptic, optical, thermal.
Speaker plays an ultrasonic sweep; microphone reads the return. Water-damaged seals, swelling battery, or hairline frame fracture bend the waveform.
Short bursts measure voltage sag, internal impedance and recovery curves under controlled load, then project where the cell is heading.
OLED organics carry history: brightness loss, colour drift, uneven wear, and faint traces of burn-in. We map luminance uniformity and dead pixels.
A flawless-looking screen can still be ageing underneath. We sweep the digitiser for slow zones, ghost-touch risk and accuracy drift.
Every sensor has its own noise floor, hot pixels, focus accuracy and vignette signature. We compare the camera’s optically clean and original profile.
A phone feels fast for ten seconds, then thermal throttling begins. We stress CPU and GPU and read its control, recovery and endurance.
Every result signed, anchored to a public log, and verifiable without trusting the seller.
It’s not a decorative PDF. It’s the device’s evidence file — battery trajectory, screen life, camera health, touch response, thermal behaviour, signal strength, and signed wipe proof, distilled into one buyer-trust number.
A modern phone may contain swapped or tampered components.
Ordinary refurbishers check whether a part works.
Retronics checks whether it is real — by reading magnetic signatures,
acoustic behaviour, power-draw response, and sensor patterns
to fingerprint each component at the physical layer.
Anchored to Sigstore Rekor. Notarised on Bitcoin via OpenTimestamps. Verifiable by anyone, against Google’s attestation root, with no Retronics server in the trust path.

Why should a refurbished phone be sold through photos alone? Selected devices stream securely from our facility straight to your browser. Not a demo. Not a sample unit. The exact phone you’re about to buy.
Swipe it. Open apps. Run guided tests. Watch it respond in real time.
Search filters are old thinking. Your personal buying agent speaks directly to the Retronics Warehouse Agent — which can read every certificate in live inventory and recommend a specific physical unit. Not the most advertised phone. The right one.
For a parent — large text, emergency contacts, scam protection. For a child — parental controls and school apps. For a worker — maps, messaging, rugged settings. The phone is reintroduced, not just reset.
Will my banking app work? My work app? My child’s school app? We run the apps that matter on the actual phone before it ships — and prove they’re smooth. You see compatibility, not hope.
With your consent, post-sale intelligence watches for early battery decline or thermal stress and warns you before frustration begins. The best warranty is the failure that never reaches you.
IT teams, schools, insurers, care providers, hospitals and ITAD firms all face the same question: which devices are safe, clean, usable and worth redeploying? Retronics answers it with evidence — exposed as APIs, certificates and audit-ready reports.
Not refurbished. Re-proven.
A phone with nothing to hide.
The device tells the truth before the seller says a word.
Buy the exact phone. See the exact proof.
Every component has a story. Our models read it.
The certificate isn’t paperwork. It’s the product.
