Every second-hand phone is a sealed record of its past life — drops, heat, charge cycles, repairs, water. That damage is real and physical, and most of it is invisible to a camera and a word like “Excellent.”
RETRONICS turns the device into its own laboratory. Its speaker becomes an ultrasonic probe, its battery a calibrated load, its camera a sensor. Then our AI-based models read the signals the hardware can’t hide — and write them into a Digital Device Certificate.
So we built the layer that reads what the eye cannot: device AI, sensor forensics, battery intelligence, repair-signature detection, and digital-twin visualisation — fused into one buyer-facing proof system. Speaker plays an ultrasonic sweep; microphone reads the return. Water-damaged seals, swelling battery, or hairline frame fracture bend the waveform.

OLED organics carry history: brightness loss, colour drift, uneven wear, and faint traces of burn-in. We map luminance uniformity and dead pixels.
A flawless-looking screen can still be ageing underneath. We sweep the digitiser for slow zones, ghost-touch risk and accuracy drift.
Every sensor has its own noise floor, hot pixels, focus accuracy and vignette signature. We compare the camera’s optically clean and original profile.
A phone feels fast for ten seconds, then thermal throttling begins. We stress CPU and GPU and read its control, recovery and endurance.

Retronics checks whether it is real — by reading magnetic signatures,
acoustic behaviour, power-draw response, and sensor patterns
to fingerprint each component at the physical layer.
